Urban Bistro Group operated 8 restaurant locations and was losing business to third-party delivery platforms charging 20-30% commission. They needed their own online ordering system that would integrate with their existing POS, allow centralized menu management across locations, and provide customers with a seamless ordering experience. We built a custom PHP solution that reduced their reliance on third-party platforms and gave them full control over their online ordering.
The client was paying high commissions to delivery platforms and had no direct relationship with online customers. Each location had slightly different menus and hours, requiring location-specific management. Their existing POS system needed to receive orders automatically to avoid manual entry errors. The system had to handle peak lunch and dinner rushes without performance issues.
We developed a custom online ordering platform with location-based menu management and real-time order routing. The system integrates with their Aloha POS via API, automatically sending orders to the correct kitchen. Customers can browse location-specific menus, customize items, and track order status in real-time. Restaurant managers have individual dashboards for their locations, while corporate has centralized reporting.
