Summit Investment Group was using Excel spreadsheets and multiple financial software tools to manage client portfolios and generate reports. Their 15 advisors were spending 10-15 hours per week manually compiling data from various sources, updating client portfolios, and creating performance reports. They needed a unified platform that would aggregate data from multiple custodians, provide real-time portfolio analytics, and automate client reporting.
The investment firm managed 350+ client portfolios across multiple custodians and asset types. Data was scattered across different systems with no single source of truth. Advisors were manually downloading CSV files, reconciling data in Excel, and creating custom reports for each client. This process was error-prone and time-consuming. Compliance required detailed audit trails that were difficult to maintain across spreadsheets.
We built a comprehensive financial analytics platform using Django for secure backend data processing and React for interactive dashboards. The system integrates with major custodians via APIs and SFTP for automated daily data imports. Advisors get real-time portfolio views with performance analytics, automated rebalancing suggestions, and one-click report generation. Clients have secure portal access to view their portfolios, statements, and tax documents.
